A true passion project for dear friends, this ground-up lake house is thoughtfully sited on a picturesque property along Lake Cypress Springs in Winnsboro. Conceived as a relaxed yet refined modern retreat, the home offers a welcoming escape for family and friends seeking respite from the city.

Architectural highlights include a soaring 32-foot vaulted ceiling in the family room, a custom-designed bar, a playful teen bunk room, screened porches that invite the outdoors in, and a tucked-away reading nook that adds a sense of discovery and charm.

This project was a close design collaboration with my husband, Geoffrey Cramer, AIA, resulting in a home that balances warmth, functionality, and understated sophistication.
